  iPad Apps

Click on the image of the app to go to the app store. We will continue to add new apps as we introduce them.

Math Tappers -->This free app helps students explore how two numbers combine to form sums from 5 to 100. Levels are adjustable to meet the needs of the individual, and accuracy percentage is reported.

Doodle Buddy -->This free app is great for creative expression. You can choose from a variety of backgrounds, colors, and drawing tools to create images. Use it to tell stories, respond to reading, or just to have fun doodling!

Story Kit-->We're using this free app to draw, write, and record our stories. It also has an option to import images or use the iPad camera to include a photo in your story. Stories can be shared online, so watch for ours soon!

Math Tappers: Number Line--> This free app is good for students who are ready to explore numbers beyond 20. They try to tap the correct location on a number line from 1-100 for a given number.

Splash Math -->This free "lite" version of Splash Math Grade 1 focuses mainly on place value (tens and ones), and interchanges numerals, words, and images. Many more skills are included with the paid version.

Sight Words: This free app is from one of my favorite app creators. Great for early readers.

Little Speller Sight Words: This app, from one of my favorite app creators, is a great way to practice sight words.

Build-a-Word: This is one of my favorite apps and well worth purchasing. We have purchased the full version of this app for all of our K-1 iPads. Multi-level, this app lends itself well to any multi-level classroom.

One Minute Reader: This fluency building app is from the creators of Read Naturally. It is free to download and offers many in-app purchase options. This is an excellent tool for improving fluency at home.

Little Reader 3 Letter Words: This app, which also has a free lite version, is from one of my favorite application creators.

Little Reader 4 Letter Words: This app, which is an extension of Little Reader 3 letter words, gives students an opportunity to try more challenging words.
